Sad new Yogi owner couldn’t of made changes so that BOTH kids and grown-ups could enjoy the park.

We’ve been coming to Guadalupe River RV Resort for years and enjoyed their amenities, to include the adult pool and listening to bands/karaoke at DT’s Saloon. Since Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp Resorts took over ALL the pools are now “Family Friendly.” We have kids and grandkids and enjoyed pool time with them in the kids’ pool, but it was nice to have the adult pool to talk with other guests, trade stories and relax; now lots of splashing, yelling, etc. (and former adult pool water isn’t as clean as it used to be). We’ve heard there will be water slides put in both pools. The Saloon has been closed for nearly a month, and so the bands and karaoke have not been there as well.
Additionally, the new basketball court is in the blazing sun by the highway, and the bounce pad is 3’ off the ground with no protection around it.
Long-term (month to month) RV renting is not allowed any longer between April-September and rates have increased. Who knows what will happen to long-term regulars in the future.
Also, since they will be charging non-guests a daily rate of $15/each to enjoy their putt-putt, pools, and other kiddie-amenities … wrist bands are now mandatory for RV/Cabin renters to wear at all times. We noticed they purchased a lot of golf carts, so like their Canyon Lake Yogi Park; we will probably not be able to bring our own golf carts soon and have to rent theirs. We have cancelled our July/August reservations at Yogi’s and relocated to another park in Bandera because of all these changes. Noticed several other regulars and large groups have cancelled and changed parks as well. The staff, however, is still excellent. Sad to see the new Yogi owner couldn’t of made appropriate changes so that BOTH kids and grown-ups could enjoy the park.
