Above and beyond

A couple of years ago, we were called to area for an elderly Uncle's funeral and it was in the middle of the Sturgis Rally !!! KOA found us a spot which I think was unbelievable! They told us up front we'd need to change spots after 2 days, but we understood entirely. Can't say enough about them for their kindness.

Helpful staff

Friendly people work here. Grounds are rustic, tent area seems nice when we walked down to it. Upper area is almost all terraced spots. Good night view of the city.

Yikes!

We left Natchez Trace and drove the road to the park. Had no idea how far in it was located. Put up a sign, please. Most of the time we had a foot or two drop off on both sides of road. After maybe 3 miles, we reach a fork in the road and the way to the campground has a string tied between a tree and an orange barrel in the middle of the road with a homemade sign "Campground Closed". Really? How in blazes do we turn around with those aforementioned drop Offs? I pulled the orange barrel away so husband could get more room to get backed up on this awful road. I look up and a LOGGING TRUCK is coming from the other fork. He stops, husband pulls up again so truck can pass us. We try this backup thing again and finally we get the deed done without falling in the ditch. 26 travel trailer, not big rig. Let me ask, can't the State give warning at the beginning of the road?

Nice place

This campground is nice. No hookups, but we know that. I hold off giving it 5 stars because the sites could be a bit wider for my taste. Clean, updated, each has own trash can. Would stay again. Thank you.

Friendly staff

Stayed 1 night. Wood deck with table, chairs, not often do we get that. Can't give 5 stars because sites are uneven, but we made it work. We have to remember, Tennessee is full of hills so we should expect it, right? Wifi is awesome!

Pleasant CG

Concrete pads. Good lighting at night. Shuttle to Ameristar's casino, if you so wish. Would stay again. Located across from Casino, not same side as we thought which caused some confusion for us.

Good Value

Stayed a week. Quiet, gated. Ratty laundry room but machines get job done.
City bus stop across street, Seniors ride cheap. Ask for transfer ticket b4 paying and it's good for about 2 hrs. We transferred to cable car and rode it to French Quarter. All for 40 cents! Allow an hour. Study transit system before and it's easy.

Nice park

Camped 2 nights on way to Vicksburg. Rainy so we didn't get out much. I didn't have wifi or cell service, maybe due to weather? Popular with fishermen. Maybe it was pre season but she gave us a discount. It's a nice place but choose your site carefully, some have drop offs.

Busy place

Here 3 nights in May and very few empty lots during our stay. Shuttle to Ameristar Casino runs often. Will return if we get this way.

Quiet

Very quiet and peaceful, but no doubt that changes as the lake crowd arrives. Wifi is awful
