This park has been upgraded and is very nice. Spacious lots with minimal shade. Some freeway & train noise.
The sites are very close together. Evidently they are making every other site a grass space between sites. Unfortunately, they started working a 6 am! Thankfully, we had planned on an early start - not quite that early! Laundry facility was clean with plenty of washers and dryers. $1.75 per wash and $0.25 for 6 minutes drying. Site is only gravel with no shade. Hopefully the remodeling of sites will include addition of trees.
This place isn't much more than a parking lot. We only stayed 2 nights so back on the road tomorrow. Way over priced for a parking lot. They are very protective of their grass. Here's the thing dogs fertilize grass!!!!
There are two main RV Parks in Elko.
This is just a huge gravel parking lot. It is difficult to figure out how far on either side of the water posts, the rig should hang out as there are no markings.
The main draw if this park is their bar / restaurant and their free continental breakfast. The bar / restaurant was a bust for us as we went in Sunday evening at 5 PM intent on their special pizza offer, which was sold out, along with their other specials. If a restaurant is sold out of their specials at 5, then it is poorly run. The "family friendly" side was a sterile room with several booths and absolutely no charm. So we got a pizza at the nearby Pizza Barn.
The free breakfast was not worth the price. It consisted of pre-packaged Danish, English muffins, and coffee.
They charge an extra $1 for each pet, which serves no function other than to annoy pet owners and they waved it for me. They also use tokens in the shower, but two are included at check-in and they last 15 minutes. While that works out OK, it is annoying to deal with tokens.
The WiFi signal was strong, but loading websites was hit or miss. It did download the podcast of the Nightly News seamlessly.
The park is so close to the train, that the noise at 2 AM was incredible.
Stay at the other nearby park.
We only stayed one night but it was fabulous! Easy in and out access from the 93. Gravel everywhere and beautifully maintained!
We had been staying here twice a year and loved it.
I guess with new owners and increased capacity there are new things going on.
Still a very clean facility, one of the cleanest I?ve ever stayed at.
The new spaces are not all that level. The utility connects are too far from my service connects (same with other people as I see multiple units using add ons). I pulled forward a bit to make my electrical connection, only to be accused of sticking out to far into the drive by an unpleasant older guy. Everyone else working here was very nice.
The new egress is great, well planned.
The signs say new high speed WiFi for streaming - that?s extra, as is using the sewer connection (it?s cheaper to dump on your way out). Prices is up from last year. But with good sam?s club, (you can renew it here) you can have a discount.
No refund reservations can be made, just use your card (don?t even have to use it when you check in).
My mother would always say ?they will charge what ever the market will bear?.
The new sites do have 30/50 Amp, surprisingly they don?t have different rates for using the bigger one.
The park is now easier to see from the road with the new part being away from the trees.
This is a small park but very well maintained. The host was very friendly & knowledgeable. We stayed only one night but would stay there again. Laundry facilities are very clean with 2 washers 2 dryers ($1.50 wash, $1.00 dry). Restroom facilities are very clean and neat. Three adults in our group.
Nice small campground. Hostess helpful and pleasant. Gravel sites. Laundry facility clean convenient $1.50 wash &1 dry. Good location right off highway. Convenient for visiting twin falls.
Clean well kept, to close together, a bit pricy, we paid $36.73 for 1 night. Desk lady was helpful but seemed grumpy. Would not stay again.
