Situated in a completely private valley shaded by hundreds of old growth trees. As the name implies, there is a hot spring you can hike up to. There is a wide river bed, but it was dry on the three times I stayed at Saratoga Springs. A wonderful pool, large comfortable main lodge, everything you could need. The outside world is within easy reach, but completely invisible from the campground itself. Big Basin access road takes you about a mile from the main road before you reach the campground, meaning no road noise or lights to disturb the peaceful surroundings. I helped out in the kitchen once, it features a large walk in refrigerator and full commercial quality facilities.
