Great little hidden jem!

We stayed here for a quick local getaway in our 5th wheel. Everyone was friendly from the front desk to the maintenance workers at the park. Though it says it's a 55 and older park on the gate their was a kid who stayed in a pop up at the camping area and they offer a huge playground with several swings. So, it looks like they are actually family friendly.

Their are two seperate areas to this park -the residential side and the campers side. That was nice to not having to park next to a resident like at some places. The sites for over-night campers are level and paved, which trust me after being at other locations is a huge blessing. The only downside is that the paved sites are very narrow, so you do step out in to dirt or grass. Also, when the park is full you will be back to back with your neighbor. But, during the slower Summer periods you can treat the sites like a pull through. That is also a nice benefit. They had quite a few sites available when we were there, but alot of them were taking with folks parking their rv's and trailers there for plug in storage.

Their was also lots of street lights and trees. It was lite well enough at night that I didn't have to drag out my rope lights etc. But, the street lights weren't overwhelming enough to make you feel like you were in the middle of the city. I felt very safe walking to the comfort station at 11pm without a flashlight. They also had a police officer do a drive through the gated community while we were there, so I felt really safe.

The area around the park is very hilly and so not like the rest of Florida. It adds a wonderful charm to the location of the park! Plus, their is a quicky mart at the entrance to the park which was a great place to ride our bkes up to after dinner for a lottery ticket and ice cream.

The website does not do justice for the dog run, it's much bigger than it shows. The comfort stations were clean and they even offered shampoo and body wash. However, they did not have ventilation, a/c or a ceiling fan so they were muggy and hot. Take a shower in the early mornings during the summer or you'll be sweating by the time you get out.

The cable was a huge benefit, (I don't know why more places don't offer this as an ammenity) so the summer showers were never a problem. The park is really clean and I would call it a resort based on some of the places that we have stayed at that have called themselves a resort. We look forward to staying here again!
