Worth the price!

The nicest we've visited or stayed at, hands down. Activities for all ages (movie on the sand after dark, it was Finding Nemo) going on throughout the day, well planned to add to the resort amenities. The brunch buffet at the restataunt was $$, but worth it. Great, long trail around the resort for walking, several showers throughout both the campground and along the beach. Nice pool, clubhouse where my kids played some video games and did a craft led by their counselors. Large store where almost everything you could need was located. Water activities in the lagoon -- Huge inflated things to climb on and jump off of (kids loved), kayaks and paddleboats to rent. Was like Love Boat, with all the optional activities! Plus beach houses/cabins to rent available, someone was getting married while we were there ---it's that pretty!

We'll never forget Hobson!

Older site. This page says no res. "off-season," but this is SoCal... so no reservations more of the norm. We got the last spot. Very friendly people camping there. Beach SUPER close (some with rocks and other stretches with no rocks) but the train tracks were closer! Must be ordinances from local residents regulating when traibs can travel, but there was no missing it. Very loud trains! This part was neat for our family. Didn't use shower there, small concessions stand to make fresh food, but we didn't try any. Would go back!!
