Pretty Campground

Lakefront sites are nice to have, but almost all sites are good. The sites are of sufficient size.

It's nice to be in a campground that is on the lake, in the forest and still close to town.

Kayaking on the lake is nice, as well.

Quiet and pretty campground

The best feature about this campground is the paved walkway around the lake--it's particularly pretty in the early morning hours.

We've stayed here many times and really enjoy the park. It's nestled among the forest and is very quiet. The park hosts have always been very nice, too.

If you're entering the park at night, the entrance from the highway is not well lit which makes it hard to find, so drive slowly. Best time to visit (in our opinion) is either in the spring or fall.

Easy to access. Lots of shade.

This park is easy to find and has lots of shade. We've stayed at the park twice and will most likely stay again when passing through.

It isn't a large park, but the sites in front and close to the office have concrete pads and are quite nice. Behind the office is a large area of mobile homes that are occupied, however, it IS separate from the RV park.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU LEAVE. There is one road that takes you to a dead end and you'll have to back up a hill.

Very nice place to camp.

Located about 75 miles north of Houston, Lake Livingston State Park is on the shore of Lake Livingston which is large and pretty. There are several sites on the water and the others are nestled in the woods. The park has a pool, horse stables. All sites are spacious. If needed, there are also a few shelters for rent. We've camped here many times and love it!

An amazing place to stay!

We've stayed at this park twice; once for 3 days and last year as workampers. It's one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed at.

The sites are large and many are quite private. There is a huge water park, paved walking/biking trails (about 8 miles), a climbing wall, a lake, a dog park with a special area for the smaller pups, and much more. Another plus is that it's only 6 miles from downtown Charleston (which is gorgeous) and 6 miles from Folly Beach.

It's on our "to do again" list when we're traveling up and down the east coast.
