Beautiful lake

Mountain Lakes is the other site we stay at the most in the Ocean Canyon resorts, because it is absolutely beautiful and on a very big lake. The roads were just made to be hottop about a year or so ago. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool, so the kids have somewhere to swim when a thunderstorm happens. We stayed in one of the cabins for 50 dollars a night, had a lot of fun. Brand new TVs, cable, internet access. Wireless seemed to be working fast. There always seems to be something going on there whether for the kids or something more suited to my wife and I, my wife especially loves the water aerobics. We always have fun at Mtn. Lakes and think it is one of the more beautiful spots in Alabama.

Love love love Abita Springs

Abita Springs has always been very good to me and my family, I just got back from another stay there and this is what I have to say: everyone must go! It is very quaint, nice landscaping, good sites for RVs. Also just added a new “Tiki Bar” which is great to have lunch at right by the pool, they serve hot dogs and hamburgers and things like that. The front office has always been very nice and we never have a problem booking our stays. The surrounding town is quite nice and has plenty of activities to do for adults and children. The resort is owned by Ocean Canyon who have been doing a lot of renovations since we first got our membership. The pool is nice and always clean, the cabin facilities are also nice and were just put in when we first got our membership (in 2009). There is a lake on the premises where we have seen a lot of different wildlife, it is very fun for birdwatchers. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay, and it is less than an hour from New Orleans.
