HUGE!

I am sure this is jam packed with families and very noisy in the summer. It is a huge park near a lake, an amusement park, a beach, and a water park. Sites are close; 25' from side to side. Elec/water/sewage are all pull thrus and have 2 levels--1 gravel and the other with concrete slab and grill. Elec/water sites go from standard (back in) to better (pull thru) to deluxe (pull thru, concrete and grill). A shuttle takes you to the beach and amusement park. Tables are narrow and high. Come here with kids.

Flat, paved sites but pit toilets

Lovely park; would be 5 stars except for toilets. Lots of trees, wonderfully green. Lots to do, including nicely maintained mini golf course. Dam with fishing. Rental rowboats & paddle boats, 700' beach, volleyball & basketball courts, horseshoe pits, archery range, miles of hiking trails. Pets allowed in one loop. Pit toilets in all loops, shower house between loops. Close to I70. Half price with Passport America but costs an additional $8.50 if you call ahead to reserve.

Rustic

First campsite--ground fault on the electric. Second site--exposed electric box and rain predicted. Covered the box with a plastic bag. Grass sites. Single lane gravel road into the park. Pool but no llamas. Lots for kids. Substandard bathrooms and showers. Lots of permanent residents.
