Very hilly spots some right on the edge of the water. Water was very high when we were there and we could take the boat right up to the edge of our camping spot to load everyone up. Lake is huge!
Has dry camping, electric only and water+electric pads. Trout lake, small playgrounds, union pacific caboose cabins. Flat roads to bike and walk on. Small grocery store. Enjoyed every stay here.
Always enjoyed camping here. Kids playground in upper loop. Good fishing down at the lake. Seems be quite a few people who camp practically full time (or store their class A). Can hard to get a spot. First come first reserved.
We enjoyed this campground. Be careful choosing your spot because some of the larger trailers will not fit (or make it around the loop). Lots of activities. Good for viewing stars (no bright street lights). You can hear the trucks and cars from the interstate if you have you windows open at night.
We like camping here. Lots of flat roads and loops to ride bikes. Lot of trains going by all day and night. I have to run the air conditioning at night to block out the trains. Park good - trains bad.
Being right along the missouri river, the park was totally unusable because of the heavy area rainfall. The entire park flooded to about 6+ feet deep. The picnic tables were floating. The park has remained closed for the season. Too bad! :( We like to last minute camp there. Hopefully it will be all cleaned up and ready for the 2011 season.
We have used this park many times. There are 2 dump stations. There are 2 play areas (one small with lots of sand) and one big with wood chips. There are walking paths along the river and shelter houses you can reserve. There are shade trees and paved pads. $20 for 30 amp and $25 for 50 amp.
