Good base to explore area

This ownership park is located across from Pipestem State Park and often has availability when State Park is full, or if you need a level site. Only a half dozen or so lots are now available for rent, but they are level (hard to find in WV mountains), and folks are friendly. Lots of ATV riding in area, beautiful scenery, hiking, whitewater rafting, fishing, boating close by. Golf & tennis at state park. Gravel roads.

Woodsy oasis near Mouseville!

A charming natural oasis; hard to believe you are so close to Orlando's theme park mecca. So many deer, turkey, and other huge birds wander the campsites, that no pets are allowed. Campground sits 1/2 mile back from beach & shelters of this popular county park. Very large sites w/W & E, no sewer, but convenient dump. 2 large lakes, 2 fishing docks, boat ramp, swim beach, 2 playgrounds, hard packed dirt roads, weekend ranger programs. New, well equipped bath house centrally located. Shady(very tall trees) or sunny sites available. $23, sr >55 $17.25; Weekends fill up, so best to arrive Sun thru Thurs. Staff was pleasant. Website:

Name says it all!

A nice resort, would be a good spot to land for a week, month, or season, and is away from the bustle on FL's nature coast. We felt very welcome at this gated 5W (by Woodalls)ownership resort (no permanent rvs or park models allowed). We were invited to take part in all activities. Facillities were extra clean; nice heated & screened pool, clubhouse & rec hall, had a dog run (we were cautioned to keep pets off owners lots, use common areas). They just finished very nice bocce ball court, and they play road golf, which looked fun. Adjacent park & paved bike trail to gulf with multiple covered fishing docks was very enjoyable. Lots of large birds, even saw manatee and dolphins in nearby river & canal. Kayaking is a popular activity. Spacious & spotless laundry room was reasonably priced, as was the propane. Only downfalls: Park wifi (free) was intermittant, and no cable available in area yet, but we had satellite. Knats were bothersome for an hour most evenings and there is construction going on at the nearby bridge, so had some noise in the daytime. Otherwise a quiet, peaceful, friendly park.
