Better than most other KOA’s

Most recent stay was June 19th thru June 22nd 2017 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area

We didn’t get as close to the restroom/shower building as we would have liked, but our site was more private than a lot of others. The building was roomy with ample # of stalls and sinks at the vanity area plus appeared to have been remodeled/updated with full on tile walls and floors, fixtures, and stalls. It was clean plus good ventilation with the AC during heat of summer. Nice conveniences in shower stalls with hooks for towels and clothes, shelves for toiletries, and a bench in private changing area. Only wish is for rubber floor mats to help keep feet off wet floor. Sink area had paper towels to help clean up after use (nice convenience) but wish for hooks between mirrors for hand towel

Usually don’t like KOA’s but this one is a winner and merits a high rating; it was better than most because of more spacing between sites and selection of sites due to their aesthetics, some with grass, trees, picnic table area, privacy along with the special tent sites, and the rental cabins/tiny houses, sparkling swimming pool etc. Must mention this place is somewhat hilly and could require blocking to level your rv [checkout all my photo’s] and also a work in process renovating/improving various campsites; a thumbs up to the owners who show they really do care.

Beautiful setting

Beautiful KOA several selections for sites, regular site, some have decks w/BBQ, fire pit and swing, whatever your camping pleasure is they have a great variety of sites. The location is perfect, located at the off ramp Hwy 81 with a fuel station gas or diesel. No problem for a big rig. 5 miles to Natural Bridges and many other interesting adventures.

Good

This is a nice KOA. The only negatives is that the main sites slope severely to one side - but the campground is fixing that by adding retaining walls, then filling in. They should have this finished by spring of 2014, then one star should be added to this review.

The WiFi can be very slow, but they have to rely on satellite for now. There is some noise from the interstate.

The pool was open through September and they had lots activities for the families on the weekend. Bathroom were admirably clean although not modern. The people were extremely nice.

Because this is the nicest RV Park near Lexington, VA; Natural Bridge, and near I-64, it can get crowded on weekends. There is overflow that lacks sewer connections.

Our price was for 30A.

Great location

We stayed here in the off season in hopes to be able to visit the Natural Bridge Safari (which is located right next to it) but we didn't realize the Safari was closed for another couple of week. But we have visited the Safari before but was hoping to visit one last time before our move. As for the campground It was really clean and the staff very helpful. The bath house was old but charming and clean? They have a great little playground and a nice dog area. I would revisit this park again.
