Beautiful Park!
What a gem of a park! We love that it's along the shores of Lake Superior with the hike & bike trail running through it to give you access to the entire city on foot.
The entire campground is first come first serve, with no reservations. We arrived mid afternoon and there was still about 3 spots left - so be sure to keep this in mind when planning your arrival.
Some of the sites are right on the water, but most are situated to at least have a view. All very spacious and level, with water and electric hook-ups. Dump station on site.
Presently, there is a Superfund clean up site project happening 7 days a week at the facility next door, so there is some construction noise during the day. It wasn't too bad however, and easy to tune out.
Excellent AT&T and Verizon 4G signals here. There was a WiFi network present, but we never figured out where to get the password from.
Lovely campground
We stayed in a motorhome for 2 nights. The lots are clean, spacious, level and has gravel to park on. Each lot has a fantastic view of the bay. The showers are clean and free. The host are lovely people. We definitely will go back again.
