Awful

So let's just get started by saying that it's our own fault for having to stay here. We waited until last minute to try and find a place to stay before our site at the State Fair RV park opened up.

We ended up paying for a month, even though we were staying just short of 3 weeks, because it was "cheaper" to do it that way. Still cost is almost $900.

First off when pulling in the guys ask what site we were in and i tell them, they laugh to each other and say "good luck!" So my first impression was not the greatest. I soon found out why they were laughing. I had first make a 90 degree corner, on a single lane, with a tree firmly sat on the inside corner. Done. Now I get to the site. I have to back the trailer into an angled site, uphill, on a turn going to opposite direction, between a concrete pad and a creek. Fine, I get it in there. Now obviously this is a rarely used site due to its configuration because the electrical box is completely overgrown with ivy...poison ivy. After clearing that away and opening up the box I get nailed by the family of wasps that have made it home. Awesome. Hand swollen like a softball for the next several days.

The shower/bath houses are ridiculous and merely converted trailers that have had set it shower inserts placed poorly. Water doesn't go down the drain and collects in the area where you are drying and getting dressed. Mind you it costs you to take a shower. Supposedly $0.25 for 10 minutes, but their clocks must run faster than mine, because I've yet to have one lasting a full 10 minutes. Of course we would like to take showers in our own RV, but due to the lack of sewer this isn't possible with the length of our stay. We were told that they do have a dumping station that we could use (remember the game of threading the needle getting our rig into the site?)

The staff is, as others have stated in their reviews, very unfriendly. It seems that no one really knows what is going on and they make up for their lack of knowledge by being rude about ... Everything.

Now we live in our RV for extended periods of time while on contract so it is our home. This place has a "visitor policy" that requires you to register and PAY for every guest that you have. My wife explained to them that this is our home and that we from time to time like to have people over for dinner. She explained that they would not be using any of the facilities and would only be visiting for a couple hours. We were told that we would still have to pay for EACH guest and that "maybe you can take them swimming or something."

During the week this place does seem like a relaxing getaway. However, on the weekends you better hold on because it explodes with everyone between Chicago and Milwaukee that it will hold.

We will not be back and cannot with good conscious recommend this place to anyone.

Not that great

Stayed 11-18 Jul 2016. Charge $10.50 for all visiting vehicles whether they use the facilities or not. Have to insert quarters to take shower. Firewood is expensive. Not very friendly. No sewer.

Unfriendly.

The staff here is not very friendly. Seems to be just a money making operation. Especially watch out for the nasty women in space 211. She thinks she owns the park. Will not be coming back here!
