Traveler Reviews
Very poor experience! I'm writing this review to protect the experiences of all that Love Camping!!
I wanted to camp at Duck Creek campground to experience another alternative campground, as I have camped out at many locations in WI and the USA in my extensive history as an experienced camper! I was quite disappointed with my experience! The website expressed that they have a "QUIET" camp environment which I found completely UNTRUE having the location on top of railroad tracks with regularly traveling trains creating routine daily/nightly noise (bad first impression). Not to mention traffic noise with sites near the road. To make matters worse my reservation for a specific campsite was changed by their management without my knowing on TWO occasions (bad second impression).. I showed up to the campground lost to find my site with eventual help from campground security. The OWNER mind you gave us the Coldest welcome I have ever had in my life checking in at a campground. She was treating us like their problems were ours with no compensation for all of the inconveniences they put us through (third bad impression). The campground layout is more confusing than it should be with campsites that are crowded. Not to mention you have to pay for luke warm showers (fourth bad impression). I really enjoy camping and still made the best of the situation. But to make sure anyone reading this has a great time as well...I'd only recommend using this campground as my last resort!!
