Nice Campground In A Beautiful Setting
We stayed here 4 days in our motorhome.
Getting to the campground from Fayetteville, WV was a slow process due to the mountain roads (WV16 and US60). Many twists and turns with 2 8% downgrades of 3 to 4 miles each but well worth the effort. No problems or worries if you take your time. And truck lanes periodically will allow traffic to pass.
This is really a beautiful area. It is also coal mining country so if you don't know anything about coal, visit the Exhibition Coal Mine in Beckley just a few miles away or drive on up US60 toward Charleston.
As this is coal country, expect the trains that run along the river here on the opposite bank but they did not keep us awake.
Also nearby is the New River Gorge Bridge. A long, high bridge - 2 Statues of Liberty could be place underneath it atop the Empire State Building with 20 feet to spare.
The people running this campground are friendly and helpful.
Cell phone was good but not great on Verizon and free WiFi was excellent.
