Quick stopover

A quick one night stay ... the campground was very family friendly. Great people running the campground, couldn?t be more helpful and friendly. We had one of the upgraded spots which had a really nice patio with seating , grill and fire pit. More than we needed for the night but would be wonderful for multiple nights.

Awesome Setup!!

We loved the way the sites are staggered, so you don't feel cramped. We are in a 32' RV pulling a car and had zero trouble getting in or out. There is a sharp turn at the entrance, with plenty of room to turn. There were rigs way bigger than ours in there. The employees could not have been nicer or more helpful. Maggie got us signed in and John escorted us to our site. Restrooms and shiwers were updated and clean, laundry machines were nice and clean as well. I could see it becoming a fun place for kids as it had a playground, a sandy beach for swimming, bounce toys on the water, a dog run, a store.. just anything you might need. Would definitely stay there again, even longer.

Room for improvement

First the good parts: good WiFi, good cable TV, nice water features, beautiful grounds.
Bad news: terrible signage for "big rig" entrance, yes they tell you but we still missed it because there is a big KOA sign down the road that tells you that you missed it! Should have the big yellow sign near the entrance.
Many tight spots and it really looks like a "work" camp, which is fine but not for $49.00! $20 a night would be good to be next to a dormitory, very run down trailer with a For Sale sign on it & at least 5 people living there. Will not return.

Nice Overnighter

I would give this 3.5 stars. It's better than my normal 3 ratings but not quite enough for my normal 4 rating. However, it is a very nice campground. It has great curb appeal and the owners are friendly. It appears that this may be a happening place that locals bring their families to for a weekend get-away. They had a huge pond with floatation equipment for the kids to play on, a beach area, playground, front porch with rockers, paved interior roads, clean laundry and bath facilities, cabins, and fire pits/patios at some sites. Many of the sites are grass or gravel. There is also a 180 degree turn into the campground if coming from Exit 28. We chose to play it safe and get off at Exit 20 so we could turn left and avoid that angle with our 43 foot rig that is towing a 4-door Jeep. They tell you about it when you make your reservation. I would not hesitate to overnight here again.

Expensive

Pretty setting, nice restrooms, but way too expensive for those needing a one night stay. Grass sites. No cable. Good wi-fi.
