Train noise
This is an excellent family-friendly well-kept campground. Easy access off I-65 on the south side of Birmingham. A good place to stop especially if heading south; when departing for the remainer of your trip you don't have to fight the BIrmingham traffic.
Plenty of site options, some shaded, all full hook-up sites, good wifi provided, cable television hookup provided. Numerous rooftop channels are available. Satellite reception is excellent at most sites. There is train noise often day and night; if that bothers you bring your earplugs along for the night-time.
We stayed one night here and would return. The rate below reflects Good Sam discount.
Excellent park - train
Park is clears and we'll run. Called for late arrival and the map included a drawing to the space which was as described. Store has everything ever wanted to spend money on to make your RV life easier.
This is a very adult park, several very, very nice seniors who are long term residents, no kids to be seen so no pool scene. Let's talk train.... It comes through regularly with its whistle, another annoyance especially if the goal is just to sleep.
Very nice park
Easy access from I-65. Arrived after closing. They had all reservation material waiting for us. Bathrooms/shower very clean. Kids but quiet hours it was fine. Faint traffic noise but once inside RV, fine. Not 5 star because cable didn't work. No big deal. Wifi great.
Great camp
Spent one night, on the way South, great camp, well cared for, very friendly, helpful staff. Small camp store w/ essentials. Will stay again! Only 4 stars because cable was not working!
Good over nighter!!
Stayed here to break up our trip. Most spots are pull throughs which is good. Cable is out but all else is good. Train track close by, a bit noisy at night!!
Really nice park!
I stayed 2 nights here. Convenient to downtown B'ham. Easy access (it's an old KOA), very clean park, friendly staff, well stocked store on site, and has all the amenities you need. It's also close to a Home Depot if you need anything. While I was there, they were having a new roof put on the registration building, and fixing up the area around the pool. This place is probably going to get even better!
Going North or South, it's a good spot
We have stayed in this place several times over the years. The last time we were heading south. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All the sites we have been assigned have had easy access and exit. There are seasonal sites and many where travelers come in for a quick stop.
