Kit Fox RV Park

As you cans see from the photo the sites are very close. Gravel pads with blacktop streets. Nothing between the sites.

I'm the kind of traveler that doesn't Plan....

....so I never know what I'm going to find. This RV park is exactly what I needed. I always arrive after the office is closed and this location was very easy to navigate. I also travel with several dogs and a huge bonus here is a huge dog run with a high chain link fence where you can let your dogs run free. That was great because I have a puppy that I am potty training and she hates to go on the leash. The run, although large, did not have one pile of dog mess in it and the lawn was well kept. I appreciated that when I approached the office to pay for my space, even though it was closed, there was a big wipe off board inside letting me know which spaces were available, and I could see this through the window as it was intended, there were maps of the area placed outside along with envelopes that gave clear instructions on how to pay for my space. Everything is spotless. There are some very cute Christmas decorations and the park is very quiet. It is located very close to I five but you cannot hear it so it is just far enough away to be convenient yet quiet. On the way in there is a Chevron and several fast food restaurants.

Watering

We spent 3 night there and in that time their sprinkler system sprayed the side of our coach with very hard water. In the morning we found hard water spots etched into the paint up to shoulder level. It's going to take several hours to get those spots off and for that reason alone I will not return to this park.

Half the park is used for storage, half of what's left is probably people who work at the Amazon distribution center that runs 24/7. Big rigs coming & going all night every night.

Great weekender or overnighter

Kit Fox is the perfect I5 stop over, right off the freeway, yet quiet. Easy access and well layed out even for our 40' DP and enclosed trailer. Roadways are paved, sites are a mix of asphalt and crushed rock. Very well kept and clean, fast food just a 5min walk, nice pet area and very competent staff. We called on our way up 5 from Palm Springs, manager left our reg packet, map wifi etc. BEST OF ALL NO SURPRISES Kit Fox is honestly represented on their web site and delivers as promised.

Clean, convenient, but not kid friendly

This park was convenient, clean, inexpensive, and had free wifi. It didn't charge extra over two people and had a (very small) playground, so we assumed kid friendly, but no. Our kids were told multiple times a day that something's too dangerous (and I was watching them!) or they can't ride on that side of the park because the people work at night and sleep during the day (?) or they have to stay off the sidewalk, they can't go near this group that's pulling in for an entire day, and then we were told to clean the sidewalk chalk off the road! The road!
If you're in CA, it's right off I5, 2 hours from Yosemite, and a cheap place for a week or two of downtime, but be aware that your kids (and you) may get tired of the nagging.

A Great Stopover

We paid $18.56 using our Camp Club USA discount card. They also accept Passport America, Good Sam and AAA discount clubs.

Located near the freeway, but far enough away so there really isn’t much noise to contend with. Within walking distance there are many different types of restaurants, mostly fast food but several that are not. The sites have FHU and are flat and easy to back into or pull through if you want to pay extra for that convenience. The entire park is clean and very well maintained. They offer free WiFi and very limited cable. The managers are on site and were even kind enough to come out on Christmas Eve night and pump propane for us since we were completely out and it was a cold night.

The office area offers all the amenities, showers, laundry facility, entertainment area, computer area, book exchange and area information.
