All The Sites Are For Sale But...

until they are all sold, they will continue renting them for daily accommodations. We managed this campground for three seasons and the expectations of the owners are of a first class rate. We revisited as guests in 2011 and the standards are just as high.

All sites have water, electric and sewer, they are not very level and some are bigger then others but if they are managed correctly then they will be able to put you in the correct site for your rig. The price you will pay will be around $50, depending on the size of your family and if you bring any pets.

They have WiFi but it is not very strong. Our Verizon phones and MiFi hardly work, AT&T and T-Mobile phones worked the best.

This is more of a campground that families stay for the weekend so the weekdays are usually available for overnighters, especially the few pull throughs. The restroom/showers were clean and a small laundry room which needs to be updated. They have a game room, store, a gathering room with puzzles, book exchange and plenty of activities for the kids on the weekends.

They are located right on a small lake where the fishing is great or for you to just relax.

Most of the folks that stay here are from Minnesota, but everyone is welcome. For those of you who are looking for a place to call home during the summer months, they are selling their lots and it is a great community with great people that you can call your family.

We took hundreds of photos while we worked here, to see them all, check out our Picasa Web Albums.

A Place to Call Home

This is a membership park only, we stayed here using our Coast to Coast membership and paid $10 per night for a water, electric, sewer and free WiFi. Our Verizon phones and MiFi were a bit on the slow side but were usable. We found a site without so many trees so we were able to use our DirecTV dish.

This is absolutely one of those places that if we were to ever settle down it would be at a place like this. Very well manicured areas and each member has the same sort of pride with their own sites. It feels more like a community instead of an RV Resort.

They have several areas with restrooms and showers and each one was immaculate.

You won’t be bored here, they offer several playground areas, one even had a wooden train for the kids to climb on. We watched many folks fish on the lake and the pond. You can swim in the crystal clear pool or in the lake with a great beach area, or even enjoy the very hot indoor Jacuzzi. There is something for everyone, they have shuffleboard, horseshoes, Putt-Putt Golf, and a recreation room filled with billiards, ping pong table, and all sorts of other indoor activities. The library is huge and offers an area to build puzzles or use the computer to go online.

There pet policy was normal and they seemed to adhere to it since we did not notice any violators which always makes it more comfortable for us to enjoy our stay.

If you ever get the opportunity to stay here, do not pass it up, we will certainly stay here again.

Very Friendly Management

The only discount they offered was a $1 off for seniors, which we did not qualify, but he gave it to us anyway. We paid $16 for a water and electric site, they do not have any sewer hookups but they do have a conveniently located dump station. They also offer very inexpensive weekly and monthly rates. Our Verizon phones and MiFi worked great, as did our DirecTV dish.

The sites were a bit rough but we were level with just a few adjustments. They are currently updating all of the sites so they will all be 20/30/50 amps, for now make sure you let them know what you need and then he will give you the right sites with the proper amps.

The restrooms were a bit outdated and were not sparkly, they had spider webs and many dead bugs around which could have happened overnight or not. The pool area was clean and sparkly.

They are associated with the nearby Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and offer a free 24/7 shuttle service. All you have to do is call the casino and let them know that you need a ride and they will arrive at your site.

We would recommend this place and if we are ever in the area again, we would stay here.

Not The Best...But Not The Worst Either!

We paid $10 per night with our Coast to Coast membership for a water, electric and sewer site. Our DirecTV and Verizon phones and MiFi worked perfectly.

We had made this reservation months ago but for some reason there was a gliche attached that we were not aware of until we checked in. Coast to Coast members are not allowed through the holiday weekends, but since ours was made and confirmed, they honored it, which was a very nice thing to do. But, because of this they sent us to the very back area which was not as manicured as the other areas and we soon found out that it was where all the campers came on the weekend. It was also an area that was not patrolled often and that had many long termers who did not keep their sites up.

The staff worked hard keeping the restrooms, laundry room and other areas clean during a very busy Memorial Weekend, they should be highly commended. Once the holiday was over we opted to move to another site up close to the pool where it was much nicer.

Their pet policy of “Pets must be on a leash no longer than 10 feet at all times.“ was not enforced especially over the weekend but we noticed at other times as well. Many folks allowed their dogs to run free, grant it for the most part we noticed these dogs stayed in their area but since they were loose it made me feel uncomfortable to walk freely around the campground.

Even though with the few concerns about this park, if we are ever in the area again, we would stay here but it is one of those parks that refer itself as a resort and it really is a campground.

Now This Is A Resort

Using the 10% discount with either AAA, AARP or Players Club, we paid $16.96 per night for a water, electric, sewer, back in site with free cable and WiFi on a level slab. We had excellent cell phone and MiFi service with Verizon.

We stayed here once before in September of 2008 and were impressed then so we thought we would give it another try. Not much had changed, except for the weather and we no longer tow the Jeep, so that may be a giveaway that these photos are from 2008.

They have clean and modern showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. They offer coffee in the office that stays open until late into the evening. You may use the hotel’s pool and exercise room with the key they give you.

They offered shuttle service that picked you up and took you back to your site with just a phone call to valet at the casino. On our first morning there, we were warned to immediately take cover due to a tornado touching down just a short ways from the casino. We jumped on the shuttle but before we even made it half way to the casino the warning had been cleared. The wind was howling and the rain was so heavy at times, we could not even hear each other scream. Out of the 3 days we were there, we opted to stay at the hotel for 2 of the nights.

We only paid $73 a night for some very nice accommodations. The first night they were totally booked so they upgraded us to a suite, we checked out the next morning but the storms began once again so we stayed again but this time was a regular room and either one was great. Thought we took photos of the rooms, but somehow they got lost or deleted.

We would highly recommend either the hotel or the RV Park and they also allow boondocking in the parking lot. This is a class act place and whenever we are in the are, we will certainly stay there again.

They didn’t seem to have any sort of rules or pet policy posted anywhere. But since it was such a well maintained park, it seemed everyone used their common sense and picked up after their pets, didn’t tie them up outside and kept them quiet.

Not What We Expected

We paid $10 per night with our Coast to Coast membership for a water, electric and sewer site. We had excellent service with our DirecTV and Verizon, both phone and MiFi.

Originally our plan was to spend a few days here but the place was just not what we anticipated. The sites are rough, grassy non-level, small, and the hookups are just plain illogically set up.

Upon checking in at the front gate, we were told to go grab any site and then come back and let them know which one we took. We do not have a vehicle and really now, why should we have to come all the way back up the hill while it rained just to do their job?

We looked at so many sites before finally deciding on one but could not hook up our sewer if we hooked up our water and electric. Dogs were allowed to run free and most were chained up outside and barked and lunged very often during our one night stay.

This is a membership park and this is no way to attract any buyers. They do have rules, but at no time did we see any security or any sign of management to get folks to adhere to the rules. Open sites, as well as sites that were occupied were not manicured and looked very trashy. This is not a resort, it is a campground and not a very attractive one at best.

With some TLC and management that cares about customer service, this could be a nice place, but until then it will remain a mediocre campground that we will not be recommending to others or returning ourselves.

As for adding their “Pet Policy” to this review, we see no reason for it since they did not enforce it.

Best Customer Service

Used our KOA discount card for a FHU back-in site, included free 40 channel cable and WiFi but we were able to use our own Verizon MiFi with good service.

The grounds and sites on this park are so very well maintained and manicured. The laundry room and restrooms are kept immaculate. The staff is the courteous we have ever encountered. They are very well trained and each and every one of them is always willing to go way above what is normal service.

Even though their charges are on the high side and our company picked up most of our tab, if we are ever in the area again, we would certainly stay here. Customer service is high on our scale for why we return to many places and this park has the best ever.

A Place to Call Home

We stayed here twice while we were in Florida and we paid $10 per night using our Coast to Coast membership for a pull-thru FHU including WiFi but we used our MiFi. Cable can be included for an additional cost but we used our DirecTV dish, so we can’t comment on what they had available.

If you want to make sure each site is full every day, then treat your customers the way this resort does, especially not charging any additional “Resort Fees” as many of the other resorts throughout Florida do.

What they lack in manicured maintained lawns, they well make up for it in customer services. This is a people park, once you are here, you feel like family. They have a pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and loads of activities that we participated in and felt welcomed at all times.

They only have one laundry room and it is usually in use, but the dryers work so well, it takes no time to finish the task at hand. The restrooms and laundry areas are not in the best of shape and not kept as clean as they could, but they are not filthy.

One of the strangest things about this place is the trash area is way out of the way and they do not pick up at your site. It was nice to take a walk or bike ride through the park to the trash area, but it would be difficult if we had heavy trash to take out since we do not have a vehicle with us. In that instance, the very friendly staff or other guests would be more than willing to give us a hand.

Each time we began our walk to the laundry room with our clothes, somebody always stopped and offered us a ride. It is the friendliest place we have ever been.

We did not see any instances with any pets while we were there, so they must adhere to their rules. Pet Policy - Pets must be on a 6’ leash (or shorter) at all times and must be picked up after. No aggressive pets!

On Tuesdays, they offer an all-you-can-eat Fried Chicken Dinner and on Fridays, they offer an all-you-can-eat Fish Dinner for under $10. We took advantage for both offers and both were really tasty.

If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here

What a 5-star experience!

We paid $107 for the weekdays and $112 for the weekends for a FHU, back-in with cable. We had excellent Verizon phone and MiFi coverage which was good since they did not offer WiFi at our sites. We also had difficulty getting a clear signal on our dish for TV due to the extensive trees everywhere, so we used their cable. Every other channel was affiliated with Disney or cartoons and they had several languages for every channel.

Customer service is high priority in every part of our visit here. There was not a rude look, or comment, or a shrug, or eye roll, or anything that could have been looked at as anything but truly accommodating from each and every worker we came in contact with. From the clerks, to the maintenance, to the toilet cleaners, they were all smiles and very congenial.

The entire park is very well maintained and manicured, a top notch resort. If you do not see what you need, all you have to do is ask, again the high priority of customer service is apparent everywhere right down to the tiniest details of the cleanliness of the facilities.

The price is exuberant, but when you take into consideration the cost of parking, and the time to travel to and from each park, we believe it is well worth it to stay right on the property and if we ever come back to Disney World, we would again stay here.

They adhere to their pet policy (included below), we had no instances of any kind with any of the pets, wish we could say the same about some of the children.

With our KOA savings card, we paid $65.93 per night for a FHU pull-thru, including cable and WiFi. Our Verizon phone coverage was excellent as well as our MiFi use. The price was exuberant which we try to avoid as often as possible but there are certain areas that just get away with charging as much as possible. As far as worth the price, in our opinion NO RV Park or campground is worth that much.

Roads were paved but the sites were sand, gravel and grass but were level. The pool was heated and very well maintained, the area was big, and not too crowded at the time we were there since it was winter. They had miniature golf, horseshoes, a nice playground and a game room to keep the kids busy.

The store had all the conveniences you may need, they even serve some meals and it all had a really nice feel to it. They also offered dumping service and propane. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the activities in the area.

The laundry facilities were small for such a large park and the restrooms were kept sparkly clean even though we did not use either of them.

Even though the cost absolutely does not justify it and our next visit to the area, we will find other accommodations, we would recommend this park to others because of it‘s high quality of maintenance.

Pet Policy - Pets permitted at management’s discretion. One pet per site unless approved by management. Pets are not permitted to be tied outside RV. Pets must be walked on leash in designated areas only. Barking dogs will not be tolerated. No exotic pets. Pets are not permitted in cabins.

Funny thing about the pet policy…as we were leaving on our shuttle the first morning, a couple received a phone call that their pet that they tied up outdoors to the water faucet had torn it out of the ground. During this conversation, we could only hear his side but he was telling the person on the other line to just tie the pet to his bumper and they would be back later in the day to take care of all expenses. We were appalled until they finally asked the driver to turn around (we were only one block away) so they could take care of their pet problem. This should have been taken care of prior to us even leaving the area since the call came in minutes before we left. He even had the audacity to ask if the shuttle could drive him to their site, thank goodness the driver did not oblige this request.
