Five Star Resort

This is a great place with all the amenities…wonderful restrooms with huge and hot showers…a bit overpriced if we did not have our club card…level, good size sites…if you are ever planning to see the Grand Canyon, this is the place to stay and then ride the train to the South Rim for a really fun experience.

We used our Camp Club USA and paid $22.

Very well maintained...

With security everywhere, quiet, dark and very peaceful which made it great for a good nights sleep. The sites are flat, wide, and gravel with a spectacular surrounding view. The staff and the guests were very friendly with loads of activities planned, we attended a few and had fun. The laundry was on the main road and was actually used for the general public and only had 6 washers and 6 dryers which made it really inconvenient for us having to wait for availability.

We stayed using our Coast to Coast for $10 per night for a FHU. We stayed a week and if we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again.

Sunrise Resorts Membership Park Only

But they do have some deals to stay with a tour included, we paid $10 for a FHU with our Coast to Coast membership, 1 hour of free Wifi per day & limited cable was available.

As many times as we have driven into Laughlin, we had never even noticed this park before and it is just over the bridge on the Arizona side in clear view.

Sites were not really level, included a patio slab & picnic table. Our site had a tree we had to maneuver but were told if we wanted to switch for another site, they would. The laundry room had 10 washers & dryers but each time we thought we might do ours, the place was packed.

It was quiet and peaceful at night and every once in awhile during the day, a loud plane would take off from the small airport.

The swimming pool and Jacuzzi was kept up well, even though we did not use them.

The people were very friendly, both the workers and the guests and it looked as if their rules were enforced, we never seen a dog without a leash and owners were picking up after them.

It is a good size park...

With over 500 sites, most are seasonal and/or monthly but they have many that are dedicated to the daily and weekly rentals that are level, long pull through sites for the every size rig. A very accommodating and friendly staff. Nice size laundry facilities and restrooms/showers that are kept very clean. The activity center has something going on all the time and so many things to do, you could never get bored around here. They have horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, bocce ball courts, sauna, pool, card and billiard rooms just to name some of the activities. They also have bingo night, exercise classes, and many different craft times of all types including quilting and painting.

We used our Good Sam discount for 10% off daily rate and also paid $515 plus electricity on a monthly basis.

Membership Park

Our site was level, grassy and gravel and so were most of the interior roads. They have several laundry facilities, the one that we used was nice because it was adjacent to the game room. While laundry was going on, we worked on a puzzle, played games, read books and relaxed in some comfortable chairs…always a plus when having to do this chore. The other laundry area and shower house was not as nice but still were kept very clean. The clubhouse had a restaurant and was set up very nicely for gatherings. The spa was heated but they had already stopped heating the pool which made it unusable because the weather was still cold. Located only a few miles from a WalMart, many restaurants, fast-food joints and other major stores made it very convenient but at the same time there were no freeway or train noises which made it very peaceful.

This is a AOR, RPI, ROD, WHR & Coast to Coast which we used and paid $10 per night for water, electric & sewer, they do offer WiFi for an additional charge.

FHU Includes Cable

Huge sites…nice and clean restrooms/showers with nice layout with shower door locks…Laundromat was located right on premises…car wash next door with stalls big enough for RV’s…friendly...huge flat, gravel sites...basic cable is included as part of FHU...quiet park except for the occasional fire trucks that are located nearby…if we are ever in the area again we would stay here.

We stayed for one week, paying the $115 weekly rate.

It's not just this park in Quartzsite...

But most of them offer a FHU at a reasonable rate with absolutely no frills.

This is one of those times when they misused the word resort in their name...very unwelcoming facilities that we did not use...a very accommodating host with a pleasant personality...very quiet...had a real openness about it...unlike many of the other parks in the area...no brochures, website or email available.

Level, graveled sites.

We paid $100 for the week, but the following week when the show was going on, the price is doubled.

This place has it all...

Clean restrooms and laundry facilities. All sorts of amenities available…most at an additional charge but if you are wanting to keep the kids busy while you relax this is the place to go.

Only about 60 miles from the South Rim to the Grand Canyon and only one exit from historical Williams, Arizona.

Keep in mind that you are at about 6700 feet in elevation so it could snow at anytime, as it did on Memorial Weekend.

Stayed Here Several Times

Goodyear is located west of the Phoenix and is a fast growing area near the Phoenix International Raceway. They have a few hundred sites with several of them being pull throughs with FHU and most were very spacious.

We enjoyed our time there swimming in the sparkling pool and Jacuzzi and they also had many other daily activities going on.

The shower stalls were private with your own door with a lock that is a nice feature.

A very well stocked store with the laundry facilities attached that were in very good condition and very clean.

There motto is, “Tranquility With a Southwestern Flair”. A bit of a paradox when the park is in the path of Luke Air Force Base and several of the mornings we were awaken just after daybreak to the sound of a very low flying fighter jet passing by.

Using our Good Sam discount card, we paid under $30 per night.

Stayed Here Twice

In 2008 we used our CampClub USA and paid $17. In 2010 we used our Coast to Coast and paid $10 with no extra charges.

This place had a great staff, the best jets on the Jacuzzi and the landscaping was fabulous. There was a serene area behind the library and office area with many plants, seats and picnic tables to relax.

It was after season for them and the place was fairly empty, only a few seasonals were left and luckily we were able to use our discount card since many of the amenities and activities had ended.

So much has remained the same since our last visit exactly 2 years prior, they kept it up quite nicely.

If ever in the area, we would stay overnight again.
