Remote
Down a one-lane dirt road. If you want a large, relatively private campsite with a fire and lots of shade, it's great. Showers are clean but the water pressure is frequently low. The water pressure is also low at your campsite.
You can canoe/kayak on the Pelicer River. There are a couple of trails. The road and campsites are dirt. It rained while we were there, but there was no mud. I guess the soil is so sandy it just all seeps right in.
There is no playground, so I don't imagine it's a place with lots of kids even in the summer. While they say no pets, someone a few sites away from us had 2 dogs and nobody kicked them out.
