NOT Same campground! Gorgeous now!!!
This campground is now named River Falls at the Gorge. The old campground was foreclosed on in August 2014 and the owners were removed from the property. It has been refurbished, remodeled and reopened as of April 2015. The park now has two pools, indoor and outdoor, 141 River sites along the Tallulah River, playground, events, clean bath houses and a fully staffed park. Phones are answered at all times. We have pleasant staff and we live on property for security of our guests and to oversee daily operation. We are a year round park and welcome the public on nightly rental basis. We are NOT a timeshare property. Our reviews are 5 star on FB, Yelp and trip advisor. Please refer to our website at www.riverfallsatthegorge.com.
We offer site rentals, cabin rentals, tiny cabins, treehouses, and we also have RVs set up for rental if you don't have one. Give River Falls at the Gorge a try. You will not be disappointed.
Bogus Campground, in Bankruptcy--now is North GA Camping Resort
Have been a member of this resort since 2000. Have watched it steadily decline. After paying my membership in full, the resort has tried to push additional fees onto members ($3,000 per member plus added "fees" too numerous to mention) as a result of the resort being sued by the original landowner. Those who do not pay the bogus fees are turned over to collections. The resort has been bankrupt for years and in foreclosure, and the property has been in steady decline with poor roads, no maintenance of camp sites, no staff around, closed pool, fish not being restocked. The resort has been under many different names during this time - Tallulah River Walk, Tallulah River Resort, and now North GA Camping Resort. They haven't paid their taxes in many years and need to go out of business as they give RV resorts a bad name. Avoid at all costs!!!
Caution
Staying here for a few days is one thing, puchasing a timeshare here should be avoided at all costs. The Board of Directors issues assessments and charges at will, often possibly violating their own recorded documents. They do not respond to the deed holders, and should you be lucky enough to get through to someone, the information is often contradictory. The resort was the subject of bankruptcy proceedings in 2008, so buyer beware.
