Debbie C:)
Nice campground . Stayed one night with 42' bus and tow vehicle. Requested pull-thru so we wouldn't have to disconnect tow and site where we could use our satellite. Many large pull-thru sites, but got parked next to a large tree, so no signal. There were many empty sites at the back of the campground and no trees. Office staff should have better knowledge of their sites!
Park was clean, didn't use laundry or washroom facilities, so I can't comment on that.
We would stay here again
Great place, very happy
15% Escapee discount, very friendly staff, large big rig FH sites. We asked for no cable but open to use our satellite. Close enough to visit Thor, Newmar Factories, and RV Museum.
Great place
We actually extended our stay here to take in some of the local attractions. Our site is roomy, level, and grassy with full hook-ups. Easy access from I-80. No cable, but very good satellite reception. WiFi is slow but our our Verizon card worked well. We are in a 42' motor home. We would camp here again.
Decent Option
For staying in Elkhart, this is a decent enough option. It's close to shopping and amenities, and easy to get to many of the attractions in the area. There is highway noise, and a RV service center next door that is quite busy during the day.
The sites are all pull-thrus, and most of them on grass. They're very long, but not too wide. Not too much special about them - typical row parking.
This campground is however great for meet ups, mini-rallies and special events - as there is a conference center on site with multiple rooms. So for that purpose, it worked out great for us.
There's some short nature trails behind the park, and swimming pool was refreshing. Overall, the park is well maintained and it was a pleasant enough stay.
Park WiFi was overloaded much of our stay, even when not even close to full. We had great AT&T and Verizon 4G signals however.
Price reflects 30A site with Escapee's discount.
We like It
We hv stayed here many times, it's easy on/off the toll road, all pull thru sites, level sites and can handle the biggest of rigs. Each year more work is done to improve this campground
STAYED HERE WHEN VISITING RV MANUFACTURERS
Stayed here as a base from which we could visit RV Manufacturers. We were planning on buying a new 5th wheel so we wanted to see how they were made. Factory tours are a good learning tool. This campground has been around for some time and may have had some years with little investment. Current managers are trying to make improvements. Sites are on grass/gravel and many have shade. All utilities worked fine.
Okay in a pinch
This large campground has a lot of permanently parked RV’s with mailboxes, even. We only paid for water and were parked on the grass in an undefined open space. We could move around to find a more level spot on the grass. Showers were okay. There is a meeting room. Since we were there in October, the pool and the mini-golf were not functioning.
Some sites do have cable but not all do.
