Our First State Park
This is the first state park we stayed at with our class c motorhome. The roads in the campground area are all freshly paved and the camp sites have freshly packed gravel. Mostly flat sites, but there are a few that you would have to use some sort of leveling device.
The bathroom/shower area were clean smelling and very clean. If you are the first one up to shower it takes a little while for the hot water to arrive! We did not walk the Trail there as it was pretty wet and somewhat muddy and I didn’t want to take my dog through that. We will be coming back to do that. There are only electric hookups. I did see water spigots place around different locations but not at each site. You can fill with fresh water ate the dump station when you pull in. Because of the paved roads it is easy to pull a portable dump tank to the dump station.
It was so quiet that you could hear your heart beat, and you could really see the stars. Side note, we did encounter some ticks so bring your sprays, lotions and light color clothing.
Second review
As I said before the sites are not the best and close together. But the park is beautiful. The hiking trails are gorgeous. We are enjoying our stay here.
Poor sites
This place is beautiful. However the campground is not my favorite. We tried three sites before we found one that worked. One was a steep grade. One the power didn't work. The third one was hard to level but we stayed. I'm not sure what's normal for this area, but this isn't a very nice place. Very old bathrooms. Nice playground. Sites very close to each other with no privacy.
