Convenient and basic
A quick and easy stop right off I-20, about 30 miles east of Dallas. Really good access to the Dallas area without being right in town all of the time. There is some interstate highway noise but it's not too bad during the night-time hours. There are very few shade trees here and the ones that are here are small, something to keep in mind during the hot Texas summer sun. Gravel access roads and gravel RV sites, there are some potholes and the entire park could use several loads of additional gravel. Very level sites almost throughout, a few sites have done some leveling. There are several permanent residents with dogs on the loose, early morning departures for their workday, etc....however the park is pretty quiet thru the day and even during the evening hours.
Wifi worked well although a bit slower during the evening hours of course. There is no cable television hookup but all of the major networks are available using the rooftop antenna and satellite reception should be excellent at all sites. All sites have 30/50 amp service with water and sewer.
The rates are quite affordable for a full hookup RV site albeit with few amenities but the essentials. Weekly and monthly rates are available with some restrictions. A 10% discount off the rate is available for those willing to pay in cash. We stayed here 3 nights in our travel trailer and would visit again.
