Needs a lot of work

From the employees to the campground, we would not stay here again. They messed up our site and made us move after being here a day due to someone reserving the spot after we were already on it. Also refused to give us the disabled rate. After many phone calls we did finally get the disabled rate BUT it will not be credited back to us. They give you a voucher to use at any state park in the next year. The park is pretty nice but not worth the hassles of the employees.

Beautiful quiet park

We stayed here overnight in October. There were very few people in the park. We stayed in area F in a pull thru site. The side of our rig faced the lake. What a beautiful scene. The lake has great fishing. We watched a couple of guys clean a ice chest full of fish. There is a store that sells bait and some camping items that is open until November. We saw quite a few deer also. We would definitely go back. Our rate paid reflects America the Beautiful discount

Nice for overnight stay

Located right off I-55. Park is alittle noisy due to interstate traffic but its very clean. Folks are friendly. Great for an over night stop.

Nice overnite stop

Clean, friendly. Down side there were No trees and had to go into the casino to register for site. Good spot for a overnite stop. It wasn't crowded and they said you never have to reserve. They give Good SAMs discount and if you sign up for their players club card, they give an additional discount. Site was only $17.00.

Beautiful

this state park was awesome. The scenery was pretty. All sites were very shady. You can keep your boat behind your site. Very reasonable rate. Just wish they had cable and wi-fi. Park also has a waterside and pool.

Pristine

This campground is located right next to Silver Dollar city. It's quiet, many trees and all of the folks working here are friendly. The setting is very wooded. You almost don't know you are in a campground. We travel with 2 small dogs and they even have a small dog park where you can unleash your pets. There is an indoor pool open from April to November. Very nice place.

Would not take reservations and we lost our spot.

Owner was nice enough to show us to another rv park. His park looked clean, shady and had a few long term campers. Owner was very nice and helpful to show us another place to camp. He took some of the sting out by contributing to the cost of the alternate camp ground.

Nothihng Much to Review

This is basically an overnight stop. No cable, showers, restrooms, lights.
Did have full hook ups and owner was very friendly. Rate was fair. Owner of another campground showed us this campground after he gave our spot away. Good for an overnight stop but thats about it.
