Great little hideaway

Had a nice spot right on river, restaurant food was old Florida, inside is like a history lesson of early days! Kind of liked the decor, will be back!

Only if no other alternatives

This is mainly a long term park. Although there may be 110 sites, I think only 5 are available for people passing through. We wanted to be in the Bradenton area and this was the only place available, so that's why we ended up here. The electric, water and sewer are all at the back of the site, which means they are a bit of a stretch to reach. The interior roads are dirt, the sites are hard pack sand and dirt. There was no table or fire ring at our site.
The bathrooms, which are pretty pathetic, are in the restaurant. The wifi only works in the laundry room, which is next to the office and restaurant. We felt safe enough, but it certainly wasn't worth $31 a might.
Ate at the restaurant and that was only okay.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

This campground is awful. Grounds are NOT maintained, Rules only apply to some, Bathrooms are filthy especially the men's shower..it is gross! They dump chemicals that run into the River. Some of the local residents are belligerent drunks, and you really need to watch out for Chuck and Kim Smith. They are awful people! We paid for 2 months, and left early, we were so glad to get out of their and will NEVER go back!
