I have stayed here 3x and have always enjoyed our stay. Friendly and great campsites add to the joy of staying here.
Easy access on and off I-75, but nestled in the rolling countryside.
I live just 1 hour away, but I always try to camp here as much as I can. Each campsite is completely isolated from sites on either side with yaupon bushes and beach pine trees. Each of the 2 loops have concrete paths that lead to the boardwalk that takes you to the beach. Along the boardwalk are signs in metal that tell you about the vegetation and wildlife that you can see along the way.
The only drawback is that there is no sewer at your campsite, but you can have a great fire at your site.
The restrooms/baths are kept immaculate by the hosts! Plenty of area to bicycle. There is a WalMart across the highway.
Spend all day on the beach and enjoy your evenings to boot!
Reservations can be made on Reserve America.
Even though there are over 250 sites, we had plenty of room! There were so many activities but couldn't get to them all. Staff and security were very friendly! Enterprise car rented nearby was very convenient. Would like to come back again!
Paid for 3 nights, but only stayed for 2. Sites so close we could not open awning or put out chairs. Cigar stogies and cigarette butts everywhere. If you don't mind being near a chicken coop, this place is for you. Only had 2 golf carts and where in bad shape; seats were moldy and chocks were needed to go to town.
