Secluded...

We spent 3 nights here and paid the Passport America rate. It was a nice campground, mostly open sites with a number of permanent units just inside the tree line. You couldn't really see them unless you walked up to them. Wi-Fi was slow but it did the job. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did some gold panning here (yes, we found some) and also visited nearby Dahlonega. The only negative was the narrow dirt road coming in and the muddy roads when it rained. We would stay here again, though.

Wonderful campground!

Price reflects Federal Handicap Access Pass rate of $7.50 per night (50% off). We camped here for 12 nights and really enjoyed it. However, most sites are very un-level and are backwards (your awning will be on the wrong side unless you drive the wrong way in like we did). Lots of wildlife to see in the camp... deer, birds, snakes, bears, wolves, etc. Bath houses are small but adequate; showers are at the camp store and cost $1 for 5 minutes. Laundromat is available and very inexpensive to use. Church services are held each Sunday morning at 9:30 in the amphitheater. Cell service is spotty at best; TV reception was good with just an antenna. It is 20 miles to town, 41 miles to a Walmart so come prepared. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to come.

Good for overnight...

Price reflects Passport America rate. Several sites still do not have working water so bring a very long hose. Another camper told us that the owner will not fix anything unless absolutely necessary. Traffic from the interstate was noisy but bearable. The GPS location given by the park is misleading; they show it a good distance from the Interstate when it is actually right beside the exit ramp (think diesel engine brakes all night). Camp store was OK, but the owner was gone so much we quit trying to go. Good for a night or two but that's about it. We stayed 2 nights and were glad to leave. We will not return as there are other options nearby.

Good monthly rate...

We stayed here for a month and the rate reflects that. The park is convenient to the strip but it is cramped. The park owner is very helpful and friendly and she is the reason we liked the park as much as we did. Sites are gravel, mostly level but some are uneven due to the weight of big rigs. Laundry facilities are on site and they work well. Wi-Fi was good with about 95% up time. Restrooms and showers were generally clean but could be cleaned much better. Electricity and water pressure were both fine the whole time, even when the park was full. She really needs a workamper to help her but she got burned by one so refuses to do that any more. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will certainly stay again.

Another great COE Park!

Rate reflects Federal Handicap Access Pass 50% discount. We stayed here 10 days and really enjoyed it. Quiet, peaceful park with well spaced sites, long sites with concrete pads, gravel patios and some sites have decks. Several lots are right on the river, the rest are on little inlets. Verizon cell service is excellent here so we we had our own internet access. Nice walking trails, wonderful day use area, boat ramp and great fishing if you are into that sport. They close the gate at 10pm so be back before then! We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Wonderful park!

Rate reflects Federal Handicap Access rate of 50% off. We had a riverfront site with full hookups. This is a wonderful park, great for bicycle riding and not too far from town if you need groceries or supplies. We saw lots of squirrels, even more armadillos and 2 raccoons. A fishing dock was right below our campsite although we did not fish or swim from it. Paved hiking trails through the woods are great for walking or bicycling on. There were swings and jungle gyms for the kids to play on and the Sprayground in the day use area is big fun! To activate the water, touch both sensors on the red pole at the same time. We stayed here 11 nights and would definitely stay here again.

Great park!

We stayed here on 2 occasions and enjoyed the park. We don't gamble so this has nothing to do with the casino, just the RV Park. The bath houses were very clean and modern, free wi-fi is available and signal strength was quite good. Sites are close together but you have to keep in mind why this park exists. It is convenient to Memphis which is why we stayed here. Security is provided and they offer a Good Sam discount. There is a walking track for those who need to exercise. We have to return to Memphis each year and we will definitely come back here.

Very disappointing...

This is a review of the campground and not the casino. We don't gamble so never went to it. This campground is a field with very few trees. Out of 200 sites, maybe 30 had trees. The sites are designed for large rigs and with our 19' travel trailer, the picnic table was not under the awning. We had to drag the table off the concrete pad into the grass so it would be under our awning. The pool was OK and they had a small playground for little kids. The shuffleboard and horseshoe areas looked like they haven't been used or maintained since they were built. The showers were horrible with what looked like months of soap scum on the floors and walls. Empty shampoo bottles, left over bars of soap and scraps of paper were in every stall. The bathrooms were just as nasty, toilet paper littered the floor, sink areas not fit for using. I wonder if housekeeping was on strike? The advertise Wi-fi but charge $12 for 24 hours worth of usage. We complained to the person at the desk but it was like talking to a robot. She smiled and agreed with everything we said but her demeanor made it painfully obvious that she didn't care one bit and wasn't even going to pass our comments on. We stayed here because it was relatively inexpensive convenient to Memphis. However, we certainly will not stay here again.
