About Us

When my parents retired, they bought a Navion and started RVing. They were quickly hooked and they now spend a big chunk of the year cruising around the country.
As I learned more about their hobby, I was surprised at how low-tech the process of finding an RV park was. I’ve worked in Silicon Valley for 15 years and am a “tech geek” who hasn’t used a printed phone book in about five years. So it surprised me that most RVers seem to depend on the RV equivalent of the Yellow Pages to figure out where to go. I thought:

• Where are the reviews from other people that have been to the park?
• Where are the photos?
• Why aren’t all parks in here?
• Isn’t this book out of date the day it’s printed?

I decided I wanted to build a site that would try to fix these problems. I’ve worked at Yahoo, Microsoft, Intuit, Hewlett-Packard and Excite@Home and so I hope I can bring a thing or two to make a useful website.
