Forest is nice, lake has no water. Free camping is better bet.
The campsite was clean with many large shade trees. The host however, was less then cordial. When we mentioned how nice it must be to have this job, he responded with "It is, until THIS happens." All throughout our 4 day stay he was constantly looking for things to complain about. He made us feel MOST unwelcome. If you are thinking of staying in this area, there are many FREE areas in the national forest that you can stay at. If you are wanting to enjoy water sports or fishing, Mormon lake has absolutely NO WATER in it!!!! Upper lake Mary, however, does have water in it; although it is extremely low.
