Close to the Jersey Shore
Typical of NJ state parks, there is no electricity at the sites. Water faucets are scattered throughout the campground. There are lots of mature trees in the main part of the park and and open area near the beginning of the campground. The trees make it a real challenge to get into the campsites, even for a small RV like ours (25').
Showers are old and worn and crummy. Sites are dirt. There are few really flat sites.
So why am I giving it 3 stars? Only because there aren't any other options for camping in this part of NJ! In fact, of all the states we have been in (and we have RVed in all the lower 48), NJ has the fewest campgrounds and the poorest state park facilities! But if you need a place to spend some nights and don't want to stay in a Walmart, this will do.
