Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Birchwood Acres, Woodridge, NY

This is a destination park for kids. Excellent facilities such as Olympic sized pool and spray pool, paddleball court, tennis court, ball fields, fishing pond, recreation hall, snackbar, camp store. Many organized activities for kids. Many seasonals stay all summer, and tend to be loud and clannish. The campground has a local public road running right through the middle of the activities area, near the pool and fish pond, and the local traffic speeds through here very often. We were amazed that children weren't killed. It's a very dangerous area. The owner is very obnoxious if his "rules" aren't followed exactly. We saw him loudly berate campers publicly. Campfires must be out by 11:00 pm, and the nighttime security guy is extremely rude if it isn't out on time. We saw him actually pour water on a camper's fire. Although the surrounding area is beautiful, we would not stay here again.
