Promise land state park
I didn't have a reservation and was lucky to get a spot being the 2nd weekend in June and sites need work and leveling but it was fine and I am very happy. I paid 31.50 for electric hook up
Pickerel Point -- YES
There are 2 campgrounds in this park; we stayed in Pickerel Point and can't comment on the other campground. It is our understanding that the campground was recently renovated and it shows. The facilities are in perfect working order and they've thought of everything. The bathrooms were spotless, completely stocked with paper goods at all times throughout the weekend. The showers had plenty of hot water and were very clean.
There are LOTS of trails in the park, lots of biking opportunities, lots of boating to be done. The lake is calm and beautiful.
Now we did have a bit of a problem finding a campsite where we could level our RV (we don't have built-in levelers). It was in early October, during the week, so we had lots of sites to pick from. They intermix RV and tenting sites, putting the RVs up at the road and the tents down by the water, so you may be looking downhill at a group of tenters.
