We stayed here just off a whim driving through. The park was nice and the people were pleasant. Seems like a lot off full timers live in the park, but sites are up kept for the most part.

I have never parked my RV at Pecan Grove RV, however, every time I am in Austin, I visit a fulltime RV friend who is a long-term occupant there and I love the place. It is funky, fun and an endangered vintage park that is within walking or bicycling distance of 98% of everything you'd want to experience in Austin.

Pecan Grove is THE place to stay in Austin if you want to be in the middle of all that is cool. Located in the trendy Barton Springs area, you're right next to lots of dining options, Zilker Park and the fabulous Town Lake hike & bike trail. The park itself is a mix of long term residents and short term folks, and an over abundance of Air Streams. Everyone here is super friendly and welcoming.

The short term sites are a mix of pull throughs, some close to the road and some tucked back into the park. Don't expect much in terms of space around you (unlike their monthly spots, which many feature nice yards) - you're here for the location and atmosphere! Each site has electricity, water and sewer.

Getting a reservation can be a challenge - they don't even have a website, and they're often full up. Call early, especially if there are events going on in town.

We had excellent 3G service on Sprint & AT&T.
