For the area, this is a descent park. Just purchased by a large corporation and leased from the Cherokee Indian Nation. Casino less then 2 miles down Wolfetwon Rd. The village of Cherokee a few miles further. The Socco Stream famous for its trout season runs trough the campground.
Cramped sites. Awful layout. RV's face each other and are so close awnings will touch. No privacy! Old out of date restrooms. Gas station and large fuel container at entrance of road. The word Resort is at entrance sign. This place is far from a resort. It's not even a descent campground. Now owned by Morgan Industries.
If you're looking for a friendly place away from the hustle and bustle of the highway, situated on Rollins Lake outside Grass Valley, then this is the place. The park has a day use area, swim beach with BBQ's. The park also rents 18 foot aluminum fishing boats, paddle boats as well as canoes and kayaks. There are NO power/water/electric sites here. They also have 3 one room basic cabins that have a queen bed, and a double bunk bed. Bring your own linens and lanterns. There's plenty of free hot water available at the shower/restrooms facilities. Every Saturday at 10 a.m. there's arts & crafts for the kids. Come 3 p.m. there's a free Ice Cream Social outside the general store. Although the park is geared for boondocking only, there are many back-in sites that can accommodate RV's up to 38 feet. The CG also offers 4 areas for large groups. There's also a small marina where one can dock a boat, first come, first served. The park allows dogs as well as open fires. A well stocked General Store is a pleasant surprise.
