Great Campground!

Most sites are huge and very private. Some have bay views, most have plenty of shade from wind swept Live Oaks. This campground IS in a slightly urban area, and as such some sites are within 50ft of the highway.
Nearby are plenty of recreational activities, on and off the water.
Approximately 3 miles down the road is the Leaping Lizard Cafe, featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Good, inexpensive food.
In season it can be extremely busy, and getting a site may be difficult. It is the most visited State Park in Virginia. If you have pets, it can get pricey, as they charge $5.25 per dog, per day.
