Gateway to Heaven!

This was our second trip to Moab, UT. We just fell in love with the area and couldn't wait to get back. This time, we booked our reservation for Portal RV resort. It was conveniently located right off the highway, and turned out to be a great little campground. The park was clean, and very well kept. We arrived late, but they had everything set up for us on a board just outside the office. Free wifi was nice since we had to do a little work during our week long stay. We never really used the other amenities, but I imagine they were sufficient and well kept as well.

We can't wait to get back to Moab and the surrounding National Parks, and will definataly stay at Portal RV Resort for our next visit!

Awesome place, beautiful campground

We stayed in this campground for four nites, and it was GREAT! Everything was very clean and well kept and the people were very nice. The park is great and only a few blocks from the West Yellowstone entrance. You can walk to town and shops.

The only minor complaint was the wifi signal. We couldn't really get it to work well, but it could have been our location near the back of the park.

All in all, great place to stay and worth the price. They offer AAA discount too.

Great Place

We stayed in this park for 4 nights in mid Sept, and it was a great place to stay. It's convenient to downtown Moab, and easy to walk to most stores and restaurants.

Our only complaint was during our first night, we had a spot near the tent campers and restrooms. They walked through our campsite all evening, and the foot traffic was highly annoying. If you can, avoid parking near the tent sites. The premium sites are worth the extra few bucks, and my satellite actually got a signal (where it didn't in the other spot due to so many trees).

The only other downfall was the high school marching band practice at 7 am each morning. If you like to sleep in, it's hard to because the campground backs up to the football field of the high school.

All in all, it's a great place and pretty quiet/mellow for the most part. Free wifi is nice, although its slower in the evenings.
