Wonderful relaxing place, nice ownership

The owners r so nice! They brought us fresh corn & veggies. It is just off the freeway so you do get some sound. No cable- who cares! Lovely grassy area to run dogs, filled with various trees. Such a nice respite from a long day's drive.

Good option for seeing sights

Deer lodge is flat so don't expect lush trees and shade, but this KOA is well-run and they are happy to see you. It is on the river which is nice and the town is visually interesting. The ranch, the prison & the car museum are great to tour. We rode around on our bikes.

Lovely forest service campground

Pumps for water and pit toilets, no other facilities but a lovely spot. Almost every site is level, paved and has a great view of lake. Quiet, treed, well-spaced sites. Need to drive to anaconda to dump! Has camp host too!

Lovely spot in Beautiful section of Oregon

The park is set right in the "resort" area with 2 hot springs swimming pools. One is open to the public, the second in the upper area only open to those staying in the park. The upper area of the park seems nicer, be sure to get a spot either overlooking the McKenzie River or by the open lawn area. The lower area is not so nice. While you back up to the river, it's basically a paved parking lot and a lot of noise from the pool area. The walking trails in this area are so nice, good for walking trail biking. Beautiful waterfalls up the road a bit. Lovely place to park your RV and go exploring!!
