Excellent experience

My wife and I traveled 8 hours to Brownsville for the last couple of Christmas' to participate in Civil Air Patrol emergency service training. In 2013, we were forced to leave our travel trailer in Brownsville for a week due to it being stuck in the mud from all the rain they had. We decided that we would stay at an RV park on our way home so that we wouldn't be on the road all day and night, and so we made reservations at Nature's Own RV Resort.
We were new to RVing and figured it was a good idea to let the resort managers know we would be coming in later than we wanted, probably around 6:00 p.m. They were very accommodating in letting us come in at that time. When we arrived, the on-duty person was very helpful and even went as far as coming to our site and helping us to back in. Whether this was done to help or to ensure we didn't bother the other campers made no difference to me. I appreciated the concern, whether it was for me or the other campers.
We only stayed until about 7:00 a.m. the following morning, but the resort was clean, the people were friendly, and I felt secure in staying there.
I would recommend Nature's Own RV Resort to anyone.
As far as the negative reviews I've read on the place, I would have to say that it may have been due to the breach of rules and regulations that the owners and managers had to take action. Their rules were very straightforward and simple to follow.

Peace of mind

My husband travels all over for his job. For the last several years, he has been working in Sarita, and Kingsville is the closest place to stay between there and Houston. We were so glad to find Nature's Own. The park is clean, and secure, with a few long term residents. The staff makes sure that all the residents follow the rules, and is always willing to help with advice, and information. Our son has really enjoyed riding his bike and playing with the few kids that were staying there during a few of our visits.

At one point in time, my husband was sent on another job, so he vacated the park. 3 weeks later, he was sent back to Kingsville, and had to move into another RV park, as Nature's Own didn't have any available space. As soon as he could get a spot back at Nature's Own, he promptly moved back. All told, we have had a trailer there for the last year.

To each their own, but I for one am very pleased that my husband stays there, and I know for a fact, he doesn't want to have our trailer anywhere else in Kingsville.

Great Stay

The Management couldn't have been better. Very cooperative, knowledgeable friendly and personable.
Activities director, Charolett was great at making sure everyone had a good time. We stayed 10 days in Jan while visiting the local sights, restaurants, and King ranch. Came back in feb for another stay. One of the best parks in the area. The only drawback was traffic noise, but we overcame that after the first night or two. Restrooms/showers/Laundry were awesome.

Highly reccommend this RV Park

My husband , myself and our 2 cats travel a lot . We found Natures Own RV to be an exceptional park. The staff was very knowledgeable on the area sights and events as we were new to the area.
We had a great time at the planned activities in the rec room, everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a birthday party there for my husband and it was a pleasure to work with the staff who accommodated us with everything we needed.
We had such a good experience at this this park that we stayed here again on our return trip from the valley.
Traveling with 2 cats and staying here was not a problem. We had a great time and met some wonderful people.
Mike and Sharon are great managers, very helpful and see to a clean park which is really nice, believe me!

THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME PARK ... EVER!!!!!

This is the most AWESOME RV Park EVER! The owners & managers are TERRIFIC people. They go out of their way to be helpful & very respectful in EVERY way.... In order to keep a beautiful/clean park, rules have to apply to everyone. The rules here are plain & simple (a total...NO Brainer) I'd give this park a two thumbs up...loads of fun people & times. I would HIGHLY recommend this park to everyone.

Definetly Not a place I would recommend...

As full time RV'ers we have visited many parks across the U.S. and were very dissapointed during our stay at this RV Park. The Managers are very unprofessional and provide little or no customer service. The rules change on a daily basis. They are abrupt and have no problem telling residence that if they don't like how things are, they can leave. They made us feel very uncomfortable during our visit. We had planned to stay here for a few months near Kingsville but ended our stay abruptly to move to an RV close to the Bay. I would never recommend this park as long as it is being managed by Mike and Sharon.

responding to worst place to stay and negative review

I am one of the owners of Nature's Own
RV Resort. I was the one who questioned the guest about his
dog. Due to our Insurance, we are not allowed to take pit bulls,
Rottweilers or any aggressive breed of dogs. The guest did not show me the dogs papers, he came into the office yelling and screaming profane language and hand gestures at myself and my staff. We had a rally going on at the time and the clubhouse was full of people who had to hear and see all of the guests language and actions. I asked him to stop, and that if he could not talk to us in a reasonable manner, he needed to leave our office or I would call the police and have him removed. After Many more abusive language and gestures, I called the police. The police talked to him and told him to leave the park and not come back on the property.
The guest was refunded his credit card charge for the 3 weeks left on his monthly stay, charged for one week only. Then he contacted his credit card company, after i had already credited him back for 3 weeks, asking for the entire amount he paid. The credit card company looked over all our
documentation, and decided we were not in the wrong. It is a shame that young people have no respect for the older generation.

We can not have children living in our park for long term. We have a Special Use Permit with the city that we have to go by. Because we are not considered a permanent address for any school age children, and the school bus will not come into the park or onto the 4 lane Hwy. we are located on.
Children are welcome for short term stays, visiting, vacations, weekends, family outings, but the RV Park can not be a permanent address due to the
Special Use Permit for the School Year.

Great Thanksgiving Day Social

As friends of the owner, we were invited to share Thanksgiving Dinner at the Resort. Ralph & Jacque, owners, provided Turkery & trimmings, with others from the park bringing dishes also. Everyone had a good time. The resort was clean, and campers we met were cordial. This is to let you know that the negative reviews are wrong.

Lack of Knowledge and Customer Service

My husband called and was asking about dogs and prices. He spoke to Mike and Mike gave my husband all the info we had asked for. We were going to head down and take a look at it. His Wife Sharron then called my husband back and told him we were not welcome there because we have 2 dogs and 2 kids. We were looking at long term since we are stationed here so our kids go to school here but they go in the next county over and have no bus to get them. They will not allow school buses to come and pick the kids up. WHich I dont need since I drive them to and pick them up everyday. They said my kids are not allowed to ride their bike in the park nor welcome there. If you have kids dont even plan on talking to these people! It is a retirement comunity not a place for travelers with kids and pets!
