Cockroaches.
This is fine as an overnight stop, except for the fact when I took my dog out after dark was greeted by hundreds of cockroaches! Praying they did not find there way into my coach!

Very nice staff. There phone service was down and they couldn?t process credit cards but gladly took a check. Very helpful! All pull through sites. We did not have to unhook tow to fit in site.

One of our old favorites re-opened with new name
Over the years, when traveling through west Texas, we often stayed at the "Eagles Nest" RV Park. We were disappointed when the park closed a couple of years ago. It's a quiet location and you can walk to nearby restaurants without unhitching.
We were happy to learn that it had recently re-opened with the name of "Southern Star" RV Park.
We pull a long 5th wheel and the sites are large pull through with plenty of room for slideouts.
The new owner greets you as you pull in and is very personable and friendly. We asked if the Mexican restaurant a short walk away was open but it was only 2:00 PM and we thought it might not open until dinner time. The owner thought it was open but he pulled out his phone and called the restaurant to make sure. It was open.
He's working hard to clean up the sites and trim all the trees and it looks pretty good.
We took a 50 amp pull through site with full hookups. We will be staying here again when we are in the area. He does give a Good Sam discount.
Park Closed
We drove by this park, 11/02/2012 and it appears that this park is closed. There is an iron gate across the entrance.

Very friendly managers, clean big spaces, big rec room! Very shady! I would definitely stop here!
