Quiet location, set back from freeway about a mile. Easy assess. Pet friendly. Gravel throughout with level sites. We stayed in site F3. Adequate wi-fi, friendly staff.
Great overnight place to stay after leaving Wilcox AZ.
We stayed at this location 3 times is last 4 years.
Good size flat lots
Easy in easy out in the morning. There is a small cafe if you don't want to cook.
Roads are gravel, could get muddy if it wasn't as nice as it is now.
Customer service was exceptional.
Good, But Avoid the Breakfast Place
Van Horn is in the middle of nowhere west Texas, but this is a nice campground. We would stay here again. In the morning, we were in a hurry but decided to eat breakfast in the little place at the campground. While the food was OK, the people running the place were overwhelmed by two tables, messed up our order and were angry with us. So next time, we will skip it.
There is a very good steak place in town, which was more than welcomed after a long day on the road trying to get out of west Texas.
