Blythe/Colorado River KOA

Clean but noisy park just off I-10. Easy access to the river. Extremely wide boat ramp area, very steep! Fuel available in park. Many sites typical of KOA's.Back to back and narrow.

Great park

After a disappointing adventure 1/2 mile up the road at Sam's family RV Park, this place was a blessing. I would have given it a 5 if the streets weren't so narrow for back in's. There was also an olive tree at the entrance to our site which didn't help. I been backing into spaces for 11 years and had some difficulty with this one. I damaged our RV brushing against the olive tree but can only blame myself for that. Other then this, it is an upscale resort.

You gotta be kidding!

Each to his own. I'll agree that the entrance is landscaped beautifully. In my opinion, that's the crux of it!
Tired and worn out after a long drive, we entered a narrow entrance parking in front of the registration area which is not marked.
We were greeted by two poorly English speaking women that handed us a map, told us to find a site and come back to register. Never mind that our fiver and tow vehicle is 62 feet long. We had difficulty manovering the narrow streets. We looked at 10 sites. Although they were deep enough to accomodate the fiver, there wasn't any place to park our HDT semi. We left and went down the road to Calienta RV Resort who gave us a better weekly rate. Perhaps the park is good for RV folks with smaller rigs.

Casper Beach RV Park

Closest park to Mendocino. Photo shows the layout. Nice park but close quarters. Pro's: WiFi good, employees friendly, walk to beach, well stocked store. Cons: Pricey for less that average site. Plenty of mud when it rains, and it did! Gravel sites, fairly level. Can not open awning's. More then likely would try a different park if we returned to the area.

Rustic but nice.

The park is out of the way from the center of Gettysburg. A rustic park with some narrow, uneven sites.

Round Top Campground

The park was in disrepair when we stayed here. However, that was some time ago. I can say that this park, as well as Drummer Boy Resort a few miles away is owned by Diversified Industries LLC. The highway is adjacent to the park and it does get very noisy at times.

Marin Park

Blacktop Parking Lot. Close quarters but acceptable. Some end sites have water views and a view of San Quentin. Good if you're visiting a guest there.
Clean restroom. Walking distance to Larkspur Ferry and Macy's.

Shoreline RV Park

Just off Highway 101. Road noise acceptable from site #44. Grass islands separate each space. Spaces could be a little wider, If you have slides, once slides are open the front steps extend over grass. High fog area means grass is wet. Wet feet in RV makes wife upset.

Tops!

Large pull through sites surrounded by much of the beauty Oregon has to offer. Fantastic views. Clean. Clean. Did I say this is a clean park? 4 miles from Grants Pass. I-5 sits slight above the park. Noise is minimal. Nice place to spend sometime in.

Friendly? Not the day we stopped over.

Pulled in mid-day. Camp host sauntered over, unlocked office door, walked in, went behind counter finally speaking! Large pull through sites okay. Cable TV fuzzy, parks WiFi showed two bars. Since we have our own WiFi card that showed 5 bars, we used ours. We did not use the bathrooms, but they appeared clean during a quick inspection. Many residents, some older units, however NO JUNK. Loads of construction equipment and trucks also stored on property. Highway noise could be heard but it didn't bother us. Mexican rest. within walking distance.Good for an overnight stay.
