$65 does not include cable or wifi. I picked it because it was close to the bart. I've been to more RV parks I can count. The office manager is hands down the rudest and least customer service oriented individual I have ever come across. I made a reservation for 3 nights, followed the instructions per the email, and on arrival at 5:30pm waited 30 minutes for a park staffer to come check me in. (Into an empty row, for overnighters). He claimed no one informed him about my reservation. I mentioned I might want to stay longer than 3 nights, and he suggested I pay for the one night with a credit card, then talk to the office the next day. I had no orientation, and signed no paperwork.
The office opens at 9am. I had early meetings, and a schedule that went haywire, so my plan was to call the office in the afternoon and settle the bill. Before I could do that I received a hostel voice message. I returned his call and proceeded to apologize, as he interrupted me with "Your problems are not my problem." He says they will not take my credit card over the phone, and if I don't pay by 4pm in person, my RV would be ordered to be towed. I explained I had to leave my meetings early and take public trans to get there, and the fastest would be 5pm. (Closing time) He refused to budge.
I arrived at 4:45 and got the hell out of there. (Took a photo of the closed office.)
There is a good mix of full-timers, seasonal, and nightly visitors. There is some airport noise, which doesn't really bother me. Bathrooms are clean, and the grounds seem to be well maintained.
Bathrooms are clean, and I have found the office polite and professional, and doing their best to keep the fluid reservations. In July, by EOD there is rarely vacancy, but they do a good job trying to accommodate you once you are in.
What I like most is the access to the shopping center, which has almost every store a RVer could need. It's so convenient, that I found myself rarely leaving the island. There is access behind the mobile home park to a quiet and scenic path along the river.
Lots of drunk, homeless-type males wandering about the place. Many fulltime setups. The police were patrolling only an hour after sunset, looking for a suspect. The bathrooms were decently clean but rundown.
