Traveler Reviews
Convenient stopping place
We have stayed at Western Hill Campground on a previous trip. It is mostly gravel, close to the interstate in the small town of Rawlins, WY. The best thing is the convenience, the hookups are fine. I noticed a review complaining about the noise but trains and freeway did not bother us overly.
Just off I80
NO trees. Level gravel sites. Bathrooms, showers and laundry open only when office is open (7-10 AM, 2-9PM). Showers are wonderful; individual rooms. Huge laundry. Options: full hookup, electric only, no hookups. Cable TV extra $. Meeting pavilion. Open all year round. Good for an overnight but certainly not scenic. You can hear trains and the interstate road hum all night. City Market is a full service grocery store in town. Good Sam park. There is a pet play pen where the pets can run free as well as a walking area for pets. Best of the Rawlins RV parks.
