Skeet Range
We stayed in the ?upper? CG (can?t remember the name) and it was all wooded and very peaceful except for the sunup to sundown skeet range that is right below the CG. We chose this site over the bottom one because of very little shade depending on where your spot was. We had a great spot that had plenty of shade. If you stay for an extended time make sure you have a way to get a weed eater or lawnmower because the staff does not mow the grass in the park. Everywhere around it is mowed! Staff at check in is very friendly and helpful.
Reveille, Rooster, and Skeets
Fletcher's Fork CG was our first stint as full-time RVers. We closed our house and decided to stay local for a month to tie up loose ends and adjust. We have always gone out to this area to bike and run, so very familiar with the campground. The good news is that it is relatively inexpensive camping, a nice benefit of having the military club card. Plus, you don't need an alarm clock because if the rooster doesn't wake you up then the reveille will--- good thing I didn't want to sleep in--- and you are sure to be on guard with skeet shooting from sun-up to sundown in the field next to the CG. The CG is in a bowl by the creek so there is no internet and very spotty cell service... Couldn't hold a call, couldn't connect to Internet even over my cell service... Note to self, check into a cell booster. Oh and I almost forgot, hope you have satellite because you won't even get all of the local channels and when the helicopters fly over you will lose your reception momentarily. The thing I did love was that there was biking and running out my back door. It's a good place to stay if you only plan on being there a few days--- nice to feel off the grid--- but if you plan on being there any longer, you may want to spend a few more dollars and head to the CG at Exit 1.
