Good KOA on the water

This park has great access to the beach and to the towns of Newport and Waldport. The sites are not the big but they are well maintained. The fire pits leave something to be desired. The facility is clean with a kids park and a common BBQ area that everyone can use.

The only problems that I have are ther are no trash cans throughout the park except one and it is not really dog friendly. By not dog friendly I mean there are no dog bag stands and the dog walking area is outside the park. Aside from this there is plenty of place to walk your dogs down to the beach and around the park but make sure to clean up after your pets please.

Great View & Location

We stopped here after calling ahead. The staff was friendly, allowed us to select a site from a number of suitable locations, then using a golf-cart showed us how to easily approach the drive-thru site we choose. Space is a bit tight.

The park is well maintained and we saw staff raking each camp spot as rigs left in the morning.

The showers were well maintained with hooks and a chair to sit on while dressing.

The park had a nicely stocked store. We were given a few extra minutes to check out so that we could take a short hike on a nearby trail for photos.
