This small campground is located directly on the Pungo River , it is well-maintained, certainly not fancy and has mainly level large sites.
We had planned and paid for 10 nights to explore the area however after four nights our old dog just decided he did not want to be on vacation any longer. Brooke and Chuck happily refund the unused rent with no penalties. We would certainly go back just wonderful people.
We have been coming here for years. Love the park and the location. However there have been no capital improvements to the park in years. Roads full of potholes, many sites uneven and rutted. While we were here they also disconnected the WIFI. It is sad to see this little gem going down hill.
Wanted to add to my previous review that there was good WIFI at our site and that there was a nice pool and cabana area. The rest rooms appeared to be clean, but do need updating. Staff very nice and property maintained quite well. Price was high, however good for the Florida Keys. There was an additional $3.50 per day electric fee making the total with tax about $80 per day.
Grand park.... Lots to do with large sites. Because if the hurricane several years ago the park has been completely renovated. Only down side is lack of shade. We are in a 40' with slides. Lots of nice level space.
Came here to stay while visiting friends. Good directions on confirmation. We are in. 40' and found the pad a bit too short for coach and tow car. Not a busy time of year so management just had us park jeep in spot close. Accommodating staff . It is a Passport America so was half price for both days. Pet friendly. Would stay again.
Beautifully maintained and accommodating. A pleasure. We stayed three nights over memorial weekend. We had a water front site on the ICW. We will be back.
We stayed for a week, nice campground, our site right on the creek. An oasis to come home to after the traffics of Philly. Convenient to the commuter rail. Only drawback is the road in. Antenna bangers and narrow and entrance in and out of park is on a curve. We would return to this park. Big rig sites.
