Pricey
50 bucks for a 30 amp site that is just a parking space. My slide ended up in my neighbors site. They sure pack em in. Not a bad park if the sites weren't so close together. Also the is a lot of traffic noise. Wouldn't stay here again.
Wouldn't stay here again
This park is so rundown and kind of depressing. Lots of broken pavement, some of the sites are practically on top of each other. There are a lot of dirty old trailers belonging to full-time RVers. And the constant highway noise......not at all worth the price to camp here. Not coming back.
One night stay
Nice staff,Nice park, had a great overnight stay. But it's very loud with traffic from I-10
Nice park; loud road noise
We have stayed here 4 times, sometimes for as long as a week, so we obviously like the park. But the park starts several yards from the eastbound lanes of I10. That means that there is lots of highway noise all the time. If you keep your windows shut at night, it's okay, but if you like to keep them open, you have to think of it as white noise.
We like the lake, we like the location, we like the park. We just don't like the highway noise.
Each time we stay here the price has gone up.
The worst KOA we have ever visited
We had a preserved for several months and informed them that we had a 41' fifthwheel, upon our arrivals noticed the park had very spots. We checked in and went to our site and could not turn in without hitting a tree. We went back to the office and asked if we could get a different spot that we could fit into, there were several spots open that would accommodate us. The owner Joe said that all of the other spots were taken and there was nothing he could do, we drove in from Houston and when I told Joe how unhappy I am and we were going to stay somewhere else. Joe, under his breath said good leave. Customer service is definitely not in their business plan.
So Pleasant
We just stayed at KOA in Scott, LA for four nights - we met the nicest people there. It was spotless, it's family owned - you can tell they care about everything there. The owners bend over backwards to make your stay an enjoyable one. It's right off the highway which is so convenient. The setting of the park is beautiful - very well run and we'll be back again - no doubt about it.
Close to Lafayette
This park is just off exit 97 of I10 and you can hear the cars all night when your windows are open, but everything else about it is very nice. The trees are tall and ample, there is a small lake (10 acres) that the park wraps around, the staff is very helpful and friendly (sent us to a wonderful, out of the way place to get fresh shrimp). The sites are all concrete pads and, as usual in private parks, close to each other. Each has a picnic table.
The bathrooms are bright and clean and the laundry is quite large. You are in the heart of Cajun country.
Stay 4 nights and pay for 3. Wi-fi is free and very good. Some hookups have cable TV. 2 swimming pools (not open in early March). 337-235-2739
